What we do
studio peeki is based between Naarm/Melbourne and Mparntwe/Alice Springs and has been producing animations for 4 years.
We have worked with Aboriginal Art Centres such as Hermannsburg Potters Aboriginal Corporation, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists, Iwiri Aboriginal Corporation, and Engawala Women’s Artists, as well as non-arts organisations including Original Power and Megafauna Central Alice Springs.
We are non-indigenous creatives who have extensive experience working with First Nations artists and organisations. We believe animation can be used to share messages, connect communities and educate audiences in an engaging, fun, and entertaining way for both children and adults alike. Animation is a powerful means of strengthening Indigenous languages and celebrating culture and stories while amplifying voices from a broad range of communities.
Many of the projects we have worked on have been funded through Indigenous Languages Australia (ILA) and other funding streams. We understand how important securing funding for creative projects can be and can assist with your grant applications.
We're always keen to hear your ideas and discuss potential projects at any time. In the meantime, feel free to explore some of our previous work.
